Observation Laser Teams (COLT)
COLT-designated
Rangers were select Forward Observers within the
regiment who were HALO and SCUBA qualified whose
mission was to go behind the lines and utilize Laser
Target Designators (LTD's) to guide in laser guided
munitions into select targets. These teams
reportedly no longer exist.
