the huge helicopters onto the C-5 is a nip-and-tuck

Sgt. Melvin Sells, a flight engineer with the 20th Special
Operations Squadron, checks out
the digital map display on an MH-53J Pave Low III
helicopter at Hurlburt Field, Fla. Located on the helicopter's
instrument panel, the display provides immediate information
on flight routes, man-made hazards and enemy threats.
Hurlburt Field MH-53Js are using the first application
of the new system as part of a major modification called
IDAS/MATT, or Interactive Defensive Avionics System/Multi-Mission
Advanced Tactical Terminal. The system gives crews near
real-time intelligence and navigational information
with an integrated electronic warfare package.
