Emergency Medics
SWAT Medics are an integral part of the team. Not only are SWAT medics responsible for health and welfare of the team, but also any injuries that may occur to others on the scene. SWAT Medics are typically EMT and Paramedic certified with experience in trauma management. Because of their specialty, SWAT Medics are typically not assigned scout or entry duties. However, this does NOT mean that they are just an on-scene medical technician. SWAT Medics are trained, armed, and ready to operate in any capacity on-scene.
In addition to carrying a standard SWAT loadout with a modular vest, weapons, and other equipment, they also typically carry a SWAT Medic Kit.
