Botswana
Special Support Group (SSG)
While
the Botswana Defense Force and Police have some capability
for SWAT type missions, the primary responsibility
for CT actions rests with the Special Support Group.
This is a paramilitary element of the Botswana
Police and has a strength of approximately 200 men.
They have received training from various nations,
primarily South Africa.
