Special Note

Congratulations to CWO Grattan on the recent awarding of the Order of Military Merit for his role in standing up JTF-2.  The official Canadian government description of his accomplishments:

Chief Warrant Officer F.W. Grattan, M.M.M., C.D.
Royal Canadian Regiment Battle School, Meaford

Chief Warrant Officer Grattan of the Infantry Branch enrolled in the Canadian Forces in 1966. He has served with the 3rd Battalion, Royal Canadian Regiment, the Canadian Airborne Regiment, and has completed three tours in Cyprus. In 1992, he was instrumental in the standing-up of Joint Task Force Two and was the senior non-commissioned officer responsible for training this special operations’ unit and ensuring it maintained its high state of operational readiness. Appointed in 1995, he is currently serving as the Regimental Sergeant-Major of the Battle School.
