HV 016
This unit was
established in 1987 due to the "new" threat from KGB`s
Spetznaz. This was a result of the killing of the
Afghanistan president; Hafizullah Amin and, his wife
and their two children, on the 27th of December 1979.
The result of that was the invasion of Afghanistan.

The primary
objectives of HV 016 is to secure key personnel, patrol,
CQB and escort of key personnel, in case of war. The
people in HV 016 is civilians and have ordinary jobs
as police officers, teachers, lawyers and so on. They
train up to 25 days a year, but this is enough to
maintain the high standards set for these men. This
because they only have a few areas of operations.
No one inside the platoon knows each others full name
and the men aren't allowed to tell anybody about their
connection with HV 016. If they go on a mission the
only people who knows about it will be in the field,
except from their commander. Among their primary weapons
is HK MP5, HK A3G3 and Remington 870. They also
use equipment from Maglite.
