Confiscates Illegal Logs
One section led by Cpl Valencia of
5th Special Forces Company while on security
patrol confiscated one chainsaw and estimated 200
board feet of illegally cut logs at Brgy Mabantao,
Daraga. These items were under the custody of said
unit for turn-over to DENR Office.
Meanwhile, one platoon from Charlie
Company, 22nd Infantry Battalion under
Lt Abado while on extricate mission on board two M35
trucks back-up by one V-150 Commando were fired upon
by undetermined number of dissident terrorists while
passing along Sitio Dumalaga, Barangay Pantao, Libon.
The troops managed to extricate after five minutes
exchange of fire. There was no casualty reported on
the government side.
