1. After
a detailed mission brief, the Cdos prepare themselves
to set off in their high-speed dinghies. Double
checking their weapons and gear, they await the
order to set-off. The order is given and the Cdos
climb aboard - one section to each dinghy - moving
under the cover of darkness to the mission point.
|

|
|
2. As the dinghies approach enemy-held
land, advance parties swarm out into the water
and wade in to secure the beachhead. When the
area is secured, signals are used to summon
the main party in.
|

|
|
3. The main
party moves in and makes a beach landing. They
drag their dingies ashore and camouflage them
with a special netting.
|

|
|
4. The Cdos form a defensive ring
and watch out for enemy presence while their
comrades camouflage the dingies. Once all is
in order, they make haste to the mission objective.
Where possible, the Cdos move through thick
vegetated areas to avoid detection by enemy
patrols.
|

|
|
5. Near the
objective, the Cdos come to a stop, all the while
staying alert for enemy presence. The advance
party does a final 'recce' of the attack area
and relays the information back to their commanders.
The Cdos check their equipment for the last time,
and receive final instructions from their commanders.
then weapons ready, they charge in.
|

|
|
6. The enemy is taken by surprise
- the last thing they hear is the rat-a-tat
of automatic gunfire. In a matter of moments,
the enemy is slain and the fortified objective
taken. The area is secured and explosive charges
are planted. Casualties are brought together
and given on-the-spot medical attention.
|

|
|
7. No fallen
comrades are left on the battlefield as the Cdos
make a quick withdrawal. Swiftly they move back
to the beach and board their dingies for the trip
home. The attack has crippled the enemy.
