Artwork by Virgil Carter
Paintings of Special Forces in
Vietnam, 1966-1967
A series of 12 paintings, by former Special Forces
Captain Virgil Carter, painted in 1999 as part of
a veteran's day retrospective are available in print
form. These paintings are based on Carter's
personal experiences in I Corps, with A-113 Mike Force,
Danang and A-103, Gia Vuc. They are meant to
honor the many honorable and varied roles that all
Special Forces played
throughout the Vietnam War.
The original paintings are 22" X 30", watercolor
or watercolor and mixed media. The giclee prints
are printed on 22" X 30" Arches 190 -pound
paper and come with approximately a 1" border
on all edges, reducing the print image to approximately
20" X 28". Each print is signed and
comes with a certificate of authenticity. These
are fine arts prints and will last a lifetime.
Cost is $135 each, plus shipping by your choice of
carrier. Satisfaction is guaranteed, and your
full expense will be refunded if dissatisfied, upon
