Satyr (ARL-23) - The U.S.S.
Satyr (ARL-23) served in Vietnam from July 1968
until September of 1971. Her mission was to provide
support for the Mobile
Riverine Forces of the United
States and South Vietnamese Navies. She participated
in TF 117, which was a joint Army/Navy operation involving
the U.S. 9th
Infantry Division.
