A segment of 60 Minutes with Mike Wallace and me was shot in Washington, D.C. A week before the public showing, Bill Colby went missing, and until his body/canoe were found. Immediately, the conspiracy theory rose its head and the story gets a different twist. My segment was out! /s/ Speedy

You may recall a lot of publicity starting in 1996 about former agents (34A) who were parachuted in NVN and subsequently became prisoners. Some spent 15-20 years in POW camps in North Vietnam. Some of these individuals came to the States. The question was "were these agents recruited and contracted ? Eventually, the conclusion was they were SOG contracted. There was an appropriation that worked out to $ 20,000 per agent or to his survivor. I received some publicity because I stood up for the agents. Give me a mailing address and I will send a copy of the story to you. I do not know of any other civilian agents UNLESS scu are in this category.
