Special note: There is also a combined Ranger, USAF memorial on Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake for a Pave Hawk helicopter crash that occurred late at night on 29 Oct. 92. Two Ranger Bn. commanders, other Rangers, and Air Force personnel were killed in the crash. Rangers who rescued the only survivor, the pilot, were awarded Soldiers Medals for their actions.
