Below is a partial list of Red Cell team members.  This is provided to give the reader an overview of the diverse blend of personalities, backgrounds, and areas of expertise that made up this unique unit.  Names in parentheses are those pseudonyms used by Richard Marcinko in his popular fictional Rogue Warrior series.  These are provided for the convenience of the readers of these books.  Information below was derived exclusively from the non-fiction book The Real Team, by Richard Marcinko:

 

Dennis "Denny" Chalker (Snake): 

DOB: 28 July 1954

Military background: 82nd Airborne; SEAL Team ONE; SEAL Team SIX; Red Cell; Naval Special Warfare Development Group (Dev Group); Command Master Chief, Naval Special Warfare Center (NSWC/BUD/S).

Specialty: Boatswain's Mate; Instructor rating.

 

Steve Hartman (Stevie Wonder): 

DOB: 21 February 1955

Military background: USMC: Force Recon, Engineer Battalion, Maintenance Battalion.  USN: USS Finback; USS Hammerhead; Navy Security Detachment, Washington, D.C.; Washington Navy Yard, SPEC TEAM: Red Cell.

Specialty: USMC: Primary - Force Reconnaissance; Secondary - motor transport and maintenance chief.  USN: Machine maintenance.

 

Mike Purdy (Duck Foot Dewey)

DOB: 15 December 1956

Military background: USS El Paso; SEAL Team ONE; SEAL Team SIX; Defense Language Institute; Red Cell; Dev Group; Naval Special Warfare ONE; SEAL Team FOUR; Dev Group.

Specialty: Ordnance and weapons

 

Albert J. Tremblay (Doc Tremblay)

DOB: 10 July 1943

Military Background: Corpsman; Navy Underwater Swim School; classified underwater recovery project; Navy parachute jump school; Marine recon battalion; Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) locker/station hospital, Newfoundland, Canada; Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, hospital/diving locker; Southeast Asia (Laos); Central/South America; Middle East; BuPers; SEAL Team SIX (OpNav 06-Delta and Red Cell); Command Master Chief, Naval Medical Research and Development Command.

Larry Barrett (Bullet Head/Gold Dust Twin)

Military Background:  USMC; SEAL Team TWO; Mob Six; SEAL Team SIX; Red Cell; SEAL Team Four, Navy liaison to the Air Force for Special Operations.

Specialty: Ordnance
