HMAS Jervis Bay

The HMAS Jervis Bay (pictured on the right), a high speed catamaran in service with the Royal Australian Navy recently underwent testing by U.S. Navy SEALs and Special Warfare personnel to determine the viability of this platform as a delivery platform for US Special Operations Forces.  If accepted, it is likely that the vessel(s) would be commanded by regular Navy personnel, rather than Special Boat Units, much like the Patrol Coastal vessels.  The Jervis Bay's impressive characteristics are listed below.
