Sign on the front (north end) of the
headquarters of the Panamanian Defense Force's 6th
Infantry Company at Rio Hato. The company, equipped
with V-300 armored cars, became a major target for
the parachute assault by members of the 75th Ranger
Regiment. The photograph was taken on 10 January 1990.

The general turns himself into the Vatican embassy
in Panama, where he is surrounded by soldiers. U.S.

to persuade Noriega to surrender and face drug trafficking
