The
Defense Language Institute, Foreign Language Center
MISSION: To train, sustain, and evaluate
foreign language skills under the guidelines of the
Defense Foreign Language Program (DFLP). The DFLP
provides the Department of Defense and other Federal
agencies with the linguists fully capable of supporting
United States national interests worldwide. In effectively
accomplishing its three primary mission areas, the
institute ensures that our military forces are prepared
to meet global foreign language requirements.
