Four pararescuemen, or PJs, assigned to the 939th
Rescue Wing, Portland International Airport, Portland,
Ore., prepare
to board an HH-60G helicopter. The pararescuemen
are deployed to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, for Operation
Northern Watch.

Both pararescuemen are reservists with the 305th Rescue
Squadron, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz. They
are deployed to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, for Operation
Northern Watch.

- The 320th SpecialTactics Squadron pararescuemen
and combat controllers provide for the establishment
of drop and landing zones and provide air traffic
control, combat medical care and evacuation, and combat
search and rescue for both fixed and rotary wing assets.
