Emergency Services
Team (EST)
The primary goal
of the Emergency Service Team is the successful resolution
of high risk situations. Incidents may include; hostages,
protection of bystanders, prevention of injury to
responding forces, apprehension of high risk suspects,
and restoration of normal operations without property
damage. The priority of these goals may change depending
on the nature of the situation.
This mission is accomplished
by applying the highest possible professional and
law enforcement training to perform as a tactical
police unit when use of conventional security forces
patrol techniques would be unwise. All team members
are familiar with basic tactics and receive additional
training as initial responders.
