Welcome to the 4th Force
Reconnaissance Company
The Fourth Force Reconnaissance Company
represents the only Selected Marine Corps Reserve
Unit in the state of Hawaii. The unique and demanding
mission requires the very best citizen Marines the
Fiftieth State and our country can muster to accomplish
the myriad of tasks the company may be called upon
to execute in times of crisis or national emergency.
Moreover, Marines of this company continually shoulder
the responsibility of service as ambassadors of our
country, our state, and our Corps as regular training
exercises take members of the company throughout the
world. As members of "Hawaii's
Own," Marines of this company
demonstrate an unwavering commitment to our community
through a number of support programs ranging from
the annual Toys for tots Campaign to assistance in
our local schools through the Adopt-a-School Program.
The company is continually looking for qualified Marines
to join its ranks.
Unit Mission
FOURTH FORCE RECONNAISSANCE COMPANY

The company is prepared to provide
individually trained Marines to augment active-duty
forces or to mobilize as a unit to conduct pre-assault
and deep post-assault reconnaissance and surveillance
in support of the Marine Expeditionary Force Commander
and his subordinate elements.
Unit History
Activated 10 November
1952 at San Bernardino, California, as the 32d Special
Infantry
Company, U. S. Marine Corps Reserve
Redesignated 31 October 1957 as the
32d Infantry Company
Redesignated 1 November 1959 as the
4th Reconnaissance Company,
U. S. Marine Corps Reserve
Assigned 1 July 1962 to Force Troops,
Fleet Marine Force
Relocated during October 1971 to Marine
Barracks, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii
Relocated during April 1973 to Naval
and Marine Corps Reserve Center,
Honolulu, Hawaii
Participated in numerous training exercises
throughout the
1970's, the 1980's, and into the 1990's
Relocated during November 1996 to Marine
Corps Base Hawaii,
Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii
