USS BELLEAU WOOD, OFF THE COAST OF OKINAWA, Japan (Aug. 12, 1999) -- A Marine from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) fastropes from a CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter on the flight deck down to the hangar deck during weapons handling drills. The Marines and Sailors of the 31st MEU will be training in Amphibious Ready Group Exercises (ARGEX) and Special Operations Capable qualification Exercises (SOCEX) during August.
